The Journey
About the Zagreb to Umag Route
Zagreb to Umag carries you to the north-western corner of Istria, where Croatia meets Slovenia and the Adriatic feels almost Italian. The route runs through Gorski Kotar and the Učka tunnel before turning north along the Istrian Y to Umag's marinas, resorts and Venetian old town.
A private door-to-door transfer suits this route especially well: Umag's resorts and campsites stretch along several kilometres of coastline that public transport serves poorly, and during the ATP Croatia Open in July, having your own vehicle and driver removes all the event-week traffic stress. Cross-border pickups from Trieste, Ljubljana or Venice airports are also part of our regular service.

Along the Way
Popular Stops on This Route
Opatija
The classic Kvarner resort makes an elegant halfway stop for coffee on the seafront promenade.
Buje or Momjan Wine Cellars
The hills behind Umag produce some of Croatia's finest Malvazija — a tasting stop turns the transfer into a small wine tour.
Novigrad
The charming fishing town just south of Umag deserves a stroll along its walls and a look at its famously photogenic little harbour.
Any stop can be added to your transfer — simply mention your wishes in the booking form and your fixed quote will include them.
Why Go Private
Private Transfer vs. Bus & Train
Reaching Umag by bus from Zagreb usually takes 4 to 6 hours with a change in Rijeka or Pula, and local buses to the outlying resorts are infrequent. During tournament week, taxis on the spot are scarce and expensive.
A private transfer brings you from your Zagreb doorstep to your Umag hotel or resort reception in around two and a half hours, at your chosen time, with room for sports equipment, luggage and the whole family at one fixed price per vehicle.
